When changing the fuse, did the 'S' displayed go back to 'P', allowing the engine to be turned over? Whats the name, number & location of the fuse pls?

Many things you did wrong... you dont use penetrating oil on plastic/ruber parts you use silicone spray. When reconnecting coolant hoses put the clip on and then push it in place soo that you know that the hose is seated. E46 OE thermostat is made by behr even with sanded down bmw logo. When inspecting the internals of heater valve remove the plunger and put in in the metal housing and give it 12v to see if it's actually capable to move the plunger. All and all good video. Keep up the good work

Does the 2001 E39 (525i) have a similar heater core sensor (mentioned at 19:37)? I can't find any info on this part. (the part given does not fit my model). Though, this may not be my issue. I disconnected my heater core valve wire (19:23) and there was no change in my heat output. Basically, I'm getting lukewarm air coming from all my vents. It's just enough to defrost my windshield (Ga weather, not so cold here) and it worked fine last winter.

So are u putting it on the first big prong to make it lock or putting the whole thing in it where the rod opens for the springs to compress cus when i do it the rod goes all the way in but when i press harder the part where it opens is pass the part parking pawk it needs to sit on the video it doesnt really show how to do it

After the rod come fully out its hard to put back in pushing it does nothing

This worked for although I had to do both sides instead of just one! If you don’t want to use the tool kit in the video I used the slim bit ratchet from harbor freight and it got the job done!

ANYONE WATCHING A TRICK FOR PRIMING /running fuel pump: I discovered that removing the blue DDE relay in the engine bay and turning the ignition on turns the fuel pump ON 🎉

For anyone else doing this, you do not need to remove the pin that limits the travel of the shaft toward the inside of transmission. You can't hammer it through, and pulling it out is not usually as easy as shown here. So I go to put this goddamn thing back in, and the detent rod fell out of the transmission. It just kind of flops around and can come out without any trouble. Pushing up on the thing you suggested does nothing to help get it back in place. Is it supposed to 'snap' into a secure place or something? What was that click you mentioned when reinstalling.. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
